Sauvignon Blanc
This green-skinned grape originated in the Bordeaux region of France. Planted in many of the worlds wine regions, Sauvignon Blanc is used for white varietals and dessert wines. The Sauvignon Blanc vine buds late but ripens early, and the fruit prefers a cooler climate with less intense heat as this can cause the grapes to over-ripen too quickly. Global warming has had an effect on Sauvignon Blanc, due to the rising temperatures.
