Cortese
Cortese (also known as Bianca Fernanda, Corteis, Cortese Bianca, Cortese Bianco, Cortese d'Asti, Cortese dell'Astigliano, Courteis, Cortesi, Courteisa, Fernanda Bianca, and Raverusto) is a white Italian wine grape variety predominantly grown in the southeast regions of Piedmont. The grape produces moderate acidity and light flavours which complements the local cuisine. Widely cultivated in the Alessandria province of Piedmont, Cortese is prized for its hardiness to disease, along with its ability to produce large crop yields and a high quality wine.
