A bit closed at first, but the wine opens nicely with air to show balanced, fully-flavoured fruit. The use of wood in this wine is well judged making the flavours prolonged. There is a fullness to the wine which is well balanced by tannins. The finish has a spicy yet plummy note. Chateau Cheval Blanc 1er Grand Cru Classe 1982 Bottle (1x 75cl)

The beautiful colour is medium-deep and showing some bricking on the rim.The nose is remarkably powerful, concentrated, and complex with an elegant succession of truffle, crème caramel, and prune aromas, as well as a slight smokiness. When swirled in the glass, the bouquet goes on to reveal roasted overtones of coffee, cocoa, and chocolate overlaying spice (cinnamon) and praline. The wine starts out smooth, fresh and rich on the palate. It is rich, concentrated, round, and sinewy on the palate, but also fluid and in no way heavy. The velvety tannin is accompanied by flavours of cedar and blackcurrant, accompanied by blackberry and raspberry jam nuances that go into a very long aftertaste. This wine seems virtually eternal and still has the attributes of its flamboyant youth.

Chateau Du Glana Cru Bourgeois 2007 (1x 75cl)

Chateau Duhart Milon Moulin De Duhart 2010 Bottle (1x 75cl)

Vintage 2010Cabernet Sauvignon 51 %, Merlot 49 % The vineyard cycle began with a cold, relatively wet winter, resulting in a slightly later bud-break than in 2009, in mid-April. Growth was then boosted by dry, sunny weather in April.May and June were characterized by alternating periods of rain and sunshine. June began with a cold spell that complicated the flowering of the Merlot, resulting in flower abortion and uneven grape size. Fortunately, July was very dry (less than 20 mm of rain) with relatively high temperatures, which helped the vines to catch up from the delays caused during flowering. August and September were very dry, with beautiful daytime temperatures and cool nights creating ideal conditions for the grapes to slowly reach optimum ripeness. Tasting notes (at bottling): Bouquet of red fruit. A supple wine with plump, silky tannins.
