"Deer Point" relates to the groups of deer who roam free on the winery's grounds at the bottom of the mountains. Subtle peach and melon fruit notes on the nose and palate with a nice structure and creamy texture on the finish.
Light and floral in style, the freshness and elegance of this wine is quite remarkable. The palate, like the nose, shows lemon and grapefruit notes, and a pepper spicy nuance with minerality on the finish. It has thirst quenching acidity.
Hungary is well known for its sweet wines but dry wines from Furmint are becoming more popular. The grapes are harvested earlier that for their sweeter brethren but some characteristics remain. A medium bodied wine that’s like a fruit salad in a glass. Citrus fruit, apple, pink grapefruit and melon are all present alongside a lovely mineral streak. Refreshing acidity keeps it all crisp.
