"Deer Point" relates to the groups of deer who roam free on the winery's grounds at the bottom of the mountains. Subtle peach and melon fruit notes on the nose and palate with a nice structure and creamy texture on the finish.
Hungary is well known for its sweet wines but dry wines from Furmint are becoming more popular. The grapes are harvested earlier that for their sweeter brethren but some characteristics remain. A medium bodied wine that’s like a fruit salad in a glass. Citrus fruit, apple, pink grapefruit and melon are all present alongside a lovely mineral streak. Refreshing acidity keeps it all crisp. A great aperitif.
