Deep ruby red in colour with perfumes of red rose petals and dried cherries giving way to a dark, black cherry and spice character on the palate with rounded tannins and a characteristic bitter twist. Sweet and luscious but not cloying, it has dried fruit and cinnamon perfumes on the finish.
Deep coloured with a concentrated chocolate and dark plum perfume and a touch of liquorice that gives way to a full-bodied and powerful palate. Dark red fruit dominates the palate with the characteristic tannin of Negroamaro which melts into a long, chocolately finish.
Deeply coloured and exuberant on the nose, with perfumes of ripe, red fruit, especially raspberries and a spicy, smoky edge from the oak ageing. On the palate it is youthful and full-bodied, with great balance between ripe, rounded fruit characters including blackberry and blueberry, sweet, toasty oak and ripe, full tannins.
A salmon pink wine with astonishing complexity; raspberries, fresh cherries, orange blossom and toasted hazelnuts all come through. On the palate there is a minerality and lemony crispness that persists through the long finish.
This Pinot Noir shows great poise, concentrated depth and purity within a lacy framework. Great ripe acidity and tannic structure bring balance to this classic, succulent, intense wine. Perhaps the most beautiful Pinot Noir they have made to date.
Produced from a selection of the best grapes from Abadia Retuerta's vineyards, this deep coloured, complex red combines the richness of Tempranillo, the elegance of Cabernet Sauvignon and the strength of Syrah. The nose is fresh and vibrant, full of ripe black and red fruits combined with lingering notes of balsamic, liquorice and sweet oak wood. The full bodied, creamy palate is structured by smooth tannins, juicy ripe fruits and a hint of cedar. 2011 was one of AbadÃa Retuerta's best ever vintages, delivering a style of wine that can be drunk with pleasure right now or left to develop further complexities over the next few years.
Pale yellow colour with green glints. An intense nose with clear aromas of tropical fruits and aromatic herbs. A crisp, and very tasty wine with light acidity and structure. Pronounced flavours of grapefruit, lemon and peach. A delicious and interesting alternative to Sauvignon Blanc from New Zealand.
Golden yellow in colour with greenish hints. Clean, powerful and fresh on the nose, the palate is full of fruity, herbal flavours with a touch of fennel coming through on the finish. Full flavoured and powerful but well balanced with a silky texture and wonderful length.
Pale gold in colour with lively reflections. There are clean, powerful aromatics on the nose with apricot, white flowers and a sort of saline, sea-shell undertone. Spices such as clove, mint and fennel are also present. The palate displays sweet lemon and ripe melon with plenty of zing and grapefruit peel. A wine of great complexity and style and with bags of character. Treixadura is truly a noble grape!
