A luxurious deep gold in colour, it has aromas of light floral scents with an overlay of apple blossom, held together with a candy sweetness. On the palate it is clean and refreshing with a nice brightness with flavours of slightly dry, toasted oak gentleness and lightly perfumed oriental teas. The finish is long and clean.

Johnnie Walker Platinum Label 18 Year Old blends big, classic Johnnie Walker flavours with intriguing contemporary notes of citrus and fragrant almonds. Spice King is one of the three core blended malts in the Wemyss Malts portfolio alongside Peat Chimney and The Hive – the names of which represent each brand’s flavour profile.
As Spice King’s name suggests, the Highland-style blended malt is all about warming spicy flavours derived from 16 different distillery characters. The current make up comprises a west coast Island malt blended with other Highland, Lowland, Speyside and Islay malts, the latter of which imparts a slightly salty and smoky finish.
Spice King is bottled as a no-age-statement at 46% ABV.
