Caorunn, pronounced ‘ka-roon', is the Gaelic word for Rowan Berry – a Celtic botanical that forms the very soul of this gin. Infusing a total of eleven botanicals in a unique Copper Berry Chamber, they harness Scotland's unique natural resources and age old botanicals to mouth-watering effect. Wild, foraged Scottish Highland botanicals.
Caorunn is a small batch, quadruple-distilled Scottish Gin personally crafted by Simon Buley at Balmenach Distillery on Speyside. Using only the finest pure grain spirit, natural Scottish Water and 11 botanical gin ingredients, he personally crafts each and every bottle of Caorunn. Caorunn is infused with 5 Scottish botanicals - rowan berry, bog myrtle, heather, coul blush apple and dandelion leaf as well as 6 more traditional botanicals - juniper berries, coriander seed, orange peel, lemon peel, angelica root and cassia bark.
The aromas in Caorunn are fresh, floral, citrus, slightly spicy and aromatic. The flavours are clean, crisp, sweet, full bodied and aromatic. The finish is both invigorating and long lasting, while being refreshing, crisp and slightly drying.
