A beautiful 38 ha estate to the south-west of the town of Bergerac, located on the edge of the Dordogne. Chateau des Eyssards is owned by Pascal Cuisset, who is one of the most innovative young winemakers in the region. Pascal is passionate about his wines and believes that while technology can be extremely useful in winemaking, it is the physical labour and intuitive skills of a winemaker that really count.
This Blanc Sec is made from a blend of Sauvignon and Semillon grapes cool-fermented in stainless-steel to give a crisp and fruity wine with an aromatic bouquet redolent of russet apples. This wine also has flavours of pineapple and gooseberry fruit, with refreshing lime notes. Served lightly chilled, it is delicious on its own or with a wide variety of fish, chicken and salads.
This wine is a good match for goats cheese and Caeser Salad.
