The soil where the vines for this Pinot Grigio are planted is predominantly marlstone and sandstone. The aspect is southwest and northeast. Yields are kept low in order to increase concentration and are harvested at the optimum ripeness / acidity balance.
Only small volumes are ever made and this enables Jermann to control the quality of each individual parcel by tending it meticulously throughout the year. Through very careful vinification of the individual parcels Jermann is able to ensure that the maximum amount of elegance and transparency is given space to show itself in the finished wine.
An intense straw yellow colour with a faint tinge of old rose. Beautifully pure, elegant, floral Pinot Grigio. The bouquet is full and fruity. A touch of almonds and vanilla, a hint of fruit and spice on the palate, a smooth and dry full-bodied white which is particularly harmonious and accessible.
