Domaine de Vauroux was founded in 1956 by the Tricon family. Today, grapes are sourced from 27 hectares of vineyards on the warmer slopes, selecting sites with the best concentrations of Kimmeridgian clay, which helps drainage, reducing yields and increasing the quality of the grapes. Current owner, Olivier Tricon, has taken the domaine forward in leaps and bounds, receiving shining reviews for his Premier Cru Montée de Tonnerre.
This is a wonderful Chablis Premier Cru, which has a complex, mineral flavour and citrus fruit hints. It is has long lasting taste. Thanks to its high acidity it has good potential for ageing.
