Southern Burgundy offers amazing wine-growing ooppoertunities, and the Mâconnais area is made up of a series of gentle hills. It stretches for 40 kilometers between Côte Chalonnaise and Roche de Solutré. The area is ideally suited to growing Chardonnay grapes and offers rich, fruity wines.
This wine is made in stainless steel over 8-10 months at strictly controlled temperatures. There is 100% malolactic fermentation which gives the wine its distinctive character.
The Henry Fessy Mâcon-Villages 2014 has a lively character. It is well-balanced with a round finish and aromas of fresh fruits and citrus like grapefruits. There is a beautiful sweetness on the finish. This wine goes with fillet of salmon, roasted chicken, lentils & ham hock stew, tuna tartar and cheese.
