Franck and Betty Millet own a growing 20-hectare domaine, situated in the village of Bué. The ‘Cuvée Insolite’ is the Millet’s premium wine, made from fruit from the finest chalk soils within the domaine. The wine undergoes a long cold maceration to extract the maximum fruit intensity. This is serious Sancerre from one of the region’s most talented young winemakers.
Pronounced, expressive nose of green fruits, fresh cut grass and minerals. The palate is clean and ultra crisp; medium bodied and packed with greengage, lime and gooseberry fruit. The finish is clean, showing a real sense of place through its minerality.
It is a brilliant accompaniment to shellfish, fish and white meat dishes. It is also very good as an aperitif.
