Amrut Whisky Distillery Fusion (1x 70cl)

Consistently one of Indian distillery Amrut's most popular bottles, Fusion is a rich and warming single malt with delicious notes of fresh fruit and vanilla, followed by a smoky finish.

Amrut Fusion is created from a mix of 75% unpeated Indian barley and 25% peated Scottish barley. These are separately distilled and aged for four years, then 'fused' together for a further three months. The result is an award-winning whisky that has introduced many people to the splendours of Indian whisky.

Hakushu 12 Years Old (1x 70cl)

Hakushu 12 Year Old is one of the top selling bottles of whisky produced by Suntory. If you like the peated flavour of Scottish single malt whiskies, then Hakushu will blow your away! The Hakushu line stands among other top selling Suntory products including favorites such as the Yamazaki and Hibiki. Hakushu distillery is located in an area surrounded by forests at the foot of the Southern Japan Alps. It’s noted for producing the most heavily peated of Japanese whiskies. The flavour is most closely compared to Highlands Scotch, only with a closer attention to detail that only comes from the meticulous pursuit of perfection by Japanese distillers.

The Hakushu 12 Year Old Japanese Single Malt Whisky is made exclusively from malted barley, which is milled and mashed with water sourced from the Ojira River and Jingu Rivers (the water has a unique softness and purity, made possible by its filtration through the granite rocks of the Japanese Alps). Once the grains have been mashed, they are fermented by a unique strain of yeast (Hakushu Distillery has thousands of unique strains in its arsenal) in wooden washbacks. Despite the additional cost and labor required, wooden washbacks as compared to stainless steel washbacks take advantage of the distillery’s unique location by incorporating naturally occurring lactic acid bacteria and other microorganisms into the wash.

Following fermentation, the wash is distilled twice through Hakushu’s copper-pot stills before the whisky is laid to rest in the distillery’s warehouses. Once the whisky has aged for a minimum of twelve years, it is brought to proof with pure Japanese spring water. As a result of the whisky’s slumber in Japan’s deep forests, Hakushu 12 Year Old Japanese Single Malt Whisky has an herbal aroma, with hints of apples, pears and almonds. The palate has notes of pears, butter cookies and dark plums that are complemented by a subtle, smoky undertone. The finish is soft and pleasant, with a dry, lingering touch.

Michters US*1 Kentucky Straight Bourbon (1x 70cl)

Michter’s is proud to honour a historical legacy going back to the founding of America’s first whiskey company in 1753. Originally known as Shenk's and later as Bomberger's, the whiskey company which ultimately became known as Michter's was founded by John Shenk, a Swiss Mennonite farmer, in Schaefferstown, Pennsylvania. In its earliest days, Shenk's produced whiskey from rye grain, a favorite local crop in the Pennsylvania Blue Mountain Valley where the distillery was located. According to Pennsylvania historical lore, this particular rye whiskey was so valued that when the Revolutionary War broke out, General George Washington visited the distillery and purchased whiskey to fortify his men as they hunkered down in their camp through the long, brutal winter at Valley Forge. Over 200 years later the Michter's Pennsylvania management would say Michter's was "the whiskey that warmed the American Revolution."

The US*1 expressions, so named to honour Michter’s heritage harkening back to America’s first whiskey company, consist of some of the finest single barrel and truly small batch whiskeys available. Distilled to Master Distiller Pam Heilmann’s exacting specifications, no US*1 whiskey is ever released until Pam and the Michter’s tasting panel deems it ready.

Michter’s US*1 Kentucky Straight Bourbon is made from a carefully selected mashbill that features the highest quality American corn. It is then matured to the peak of perfection. Truly “small batch” each batch of the US*1 Kentucky Straight Bourbon is batched in a holding tank sized to fit a maximum of twenty full barrels, leaving no margin for “blending out” imperfection and thus necessitating excellence from every barrel. Reflecting the spirit of the Bluegrass State, Michter’s US*1 Kentucky Straight Bourbon is nuanced, mellow and earthy.

This whisky has aromas and flavours of rich caramel with balanced vanilla and stone fruit notes. It goes on in the palate with a smoky depth and oaky finish.

Redbreast Single Pot Still 15yo Irish whiskey (1x 70cl)

 The 15 year old expression of Redbreast was initially a one-off release that was eventually made a permanent part of the range due to it's huge popularity. This is one of the richest, and heaviest Irish pot still whiskeys. The bottling is vatted from whiskeys aged between 15 and 19 years old and the cask selection is from 1st fill bourbon and sherry barrels. Redbreast 15 Year Old has won many awards including a Gold Medal at the International Spirits Challenge 2010.

Rock Town Arkansas Bourbon Whiskey (1x 70cl)

Established in 2010 Rock Town Distillery, located in downtown Little Rock, is the first legal distillery of any kind in Arkansas since prohibition.  It is an artisan craft distillery that uses grains from Arkansas to distill award winning spirits.  Rock Town is a true grain-to-glass distillery, their spirits are carefully distilled from corn, wheat and rye that are grown within a 125 miles of the distillery. Their passion is their spirit and their dedication is to their craft.

Rock Town Bourbon is distilled from local Arkansas corn and wheat at the distillery in downtown Little Rock. They’re proud that they keep things local. they age the bourbon at the distillery in small new charred oak barrels that were coopered right there in Arkansas at Gibbs Brothers Cooperage. That’s right, they use Arkansas corn, Arkansas wheat, they distill the whiskey in Arkansas, age it in an Arkansas made barrel to be Arkansas’ first ever Bourbon Whiskey.

This Bourbon is milled, mashed, fermented, distilled, aged, bottled and packaged at the distillery in Little Rock. The ingredients used to make this Bourbon are 82% Arkansas corn, 9% Arkansas soft red winter wheat and 9% malted barley. The whiskey is non-chill filtered.

Canadian Club (1x 70cl)

Hiram Walker, a successful grain merchant, founded what would become Canadian Club in 1858. His first distillery was established in Walkerville, Ontario because of the exceptional quality of the local grains there. In those early days, if you wanted whisky, you took your own jug or bottle to the local store and filled it from a generic barrel. This whisky was different—smooth and easy to drink and they wanted people to know who made it. Canadians soon took a liking to this whisky, and came to love it as one of their own. In America, it was considered special, because it was sold exclusively in the finer gentlemen’s clubs of the era. Soon, the whisky came to be known by the name “Club Whisky.” It wasn’t long before Club Whisky began to cultivate popularity around the world. Eventually, its popularity began to affect the sale of American Bourbon in the United States. This forced the U.S. Government to require all Canadian distillers to put the country of origin on their label. And so Club Whisky became Canadian Club and a legacy was launched.

A giant of Canadian whisky since 1858, at Canadian Club they still use the unique recipe and process which was first created over 150 years ago. This has ensured that they are able to continue making an exceptionally rich and smooth whisky. The grains they use to make Canadian Club are rye, malted rye, and malted barley. It’s aged for longer than the 3 years required by law in oak barrels before bottling to achieve the smoothest possible flavour.

Canadian Club is refreshing and smooth. It has a bright gold colour and the aromas are fresh and soft, with an almond nuttiness, as well as a hint of peppery spice. The flavours are spicy and zesty, complimented with hints of rich oak, sweet vanilla and a pleasant sweetness. The finish is clean, dry and lingering with subtle oak.

Kavalan Single Malt (1x 70cl

Established in 2005, Kavalan is Taiwan’s first whiskymaker and the nation’s only family-owned whisky distillery. Kavalan takes the old name of Yilan county where the distillery is located in northeastern Taiwan. The pure water and fresh air make this part of the subtropical island the ideal environment for the production of whisky. Kavalan Distillery is an entrepreneur’s dream come true. Mr. Tien-Tsai Lee, the founder of King Car conglomerate had long dreamed of producing a Taiwanese whisky, yet it was not until 2002 when Taiwan joined the World Trade Organisation  that his goal could be achieved. The distillery brings together a professional whisky team with world-class master blender, Ian Chang, as well as the expertise of renowned whisky specialist, the late Dr. Jim Swan. 

This Kavalan Single Malt Whisky exemplifies the sheer quality of whisky currently coming out of Taiwan. The skills of Master Blender Ian Chang work with the humid Taiwanese climate to create whisky that is diverse and complex. Fresh and clean, the spirit is rich with silky smoothness and hints of tropical fruits, mango in particular.

The colour of this Kavalan is a lively and passionate amber. The aromas are clean, elegant, floral (pleasant & refreshing fragrance of the butterfly orchid), fruity and seductive. With hints of honey, tropical fruits (mango in particular), pear drop, vanilla, coconuts and suggestions of chocolate. The palate gives a hint of sweet mango juice with spicy complexity and gentle warmth on a medium, oily and citrus finish. Kavalan is the perfect partner for seafood.

Unlike Bourbon or Rye, which, by definition, must be aged in new oak barrels, Michter's US*1 Unblended American Whiskey is aged in a way that utilizes whiskey-soaked barrels to achieve a rich and unique flavour profile. In late 2013, then Master Distiller Willie Pratt agreed to re-release the US*1 Unblended American Whiskey after a nearly three-year absence from the market, deeming it to be “just right” and also “the best it’s ever been.” Crucially, their US#1 Unblended American Whiskey never contains any grain neutral spirits – hence its “unblended” distinction.

This whiskey has plenty of deep butterscotch and vanilla notes, hints of caramel and dried fruit, with a ripened fruit finish.

In 1918, a young Japanese man with an ambition to make genuine whisky went alone to Scotland to unveil the secret of whisky making. He is Masataka Taketsuru, the founder of Nikka Whisky.

Nikka From The Barrel is a blended whisky created to deliver full flavours and richness of whisky “from barrels” which only blenders can sniff and taste. The iconic bottle is designed to reflect “a small block of whisky” – embodying the rich, strong taste of the whisky within.

From The Barrel is an extremely complex blended whisky bottled at 51.4% ABV. In order to deliver its richness and full flavours, the blended liquid goes into used barrels for another few months for “marriage” before it is bottled.

This whisky possesses a distinctive personality characterized by solidity, depth of taste and a richly expanding aroma.

Smooth, complex, and full of character, Platte Valley offers a premium taste that can only come from 160 years of whiskey-making experience. This small batch 100% Straight Corn Whiskey is handcrafted in ceramic jugs and cork-sealed.

Presented in an earthenware moonshine jug, this whisky has been aged for three years prior to release. Much longer than most other corn whiskies. It has floral aromas plus notes of honeycomb, dried fruit, pepper and minerally notes. The palate has an initial sting of alcohol followed by delicate flavours of vanilla, apple, tropical fruits and nuts.
