Bulleit Bourbon is inspired by the whiskey pioneered by Augustus Bulleit over 150 years ago. Only ingredients of the very highest quality are used. The subtlety and complexity of Bulleit Bourbon come from its unique blend of rye, corn, and barley malt, along with special strains of yeast and pure Kentucky limestone filtered water. Due to its especially high rye content, Bulleit Bourbon has a bold, spicy character with a finish that's distinctively clean and smooth. Medium amber in colour, with gentle spiciness and sweet oak aromas. Mid-palate is smooth with tones of maple, oak, and nutmeg. Finish is long, dry, and satiny with a light toffee flavor.
Mingling multiple Bourbon recipes is an art in itself. Four original and limited Bourbon recipes have been expertly selected by their Master Distiller at the peak of maturation to create a perfectly balanced Small Batch Bourbon that rewards you with a mellow symphony of rich, spicy flavors along with sweet, fruity aromas and hints of sweet oak and caramel. Finishes soft, smooth and pleasantly long. Best enjoyed straight up, on the rocks or with a splash. 45% alcohol/volume.
Unusually this whisky is aged in bourbon soaked American white oak barrels which impart a rich and unique flavor profile into the whisky. It has rich butterscotch and vanilla notes with flavours of caramel, dried fruit and ripe fruit on the finish.
Presented in an earthenware moonshine jug, this whisky has been aged for three years prior to release. Much longer than most other corn whiskies. It has floral aromas plus notes of honeycomb, dried fruit, pepper and minerally notes. The palate has an initial sting of alcohol followed by delicate flavours of vanilla, apple, tropical fruits and nuts.
