Pagos del Rey, Pulpo Albarino, Rias Baixas,2015 - June 2017 Decanter review

Made from Albariño grapes grown in the Salnés Valley region of Rías Baixas, located close to the town of Cambados. Here, on undulating hills, the vineyards are planted on rocky and alluvial soils; they benefit from cooling influence of the nearby Atlantic Ocean. Unoaked, the wine is a bright, pale lemon colour with hints of apple green. Aromas of white flowers, hints of peach and apricot lead to a fresh, fruity palate; it has a lovely intensity and an almost saline minerality.

Thelema Sutherland Oaked Chardonnay 2015 - April 2017 Decanter review

Fresh citrus flavours combine brilliantly with subtle toasty oak. This wine has pure, clean fruit, leaving a fresh finish. This wine shows surprising complexity for such a young wine. Should age gracefully.

Berton Reserve The Black Shiraz 2015 - June 2017 Decanter review

The vibrant dark cherry fruit typifies the area that this wine is from in Padthaway, South Australia and is the backbone of this wine. Blackberry, plum and mocha are also evident, creating a palate that is rich and soft.  This wine was matured in French oak for approximately 4 to 6 months before being filtered and blended for bottling.  It is a wine that has been made to drink now but will cellar for around 5 years.
