Perez Cruz, Limited Edition Carmenere, Maipo 2014 - April 2017 Decanter review
The grapes were handpicked and then carefully selected before being gently pressed and cold macerated in stainless steel tanks. Pumped over by hand, the juice was fermented and was then macerated with its skins for a period of 30 days. The wine underwent malolactic fermentation and was then matured in new French oak barrels for 16 months.
A spicy wine with vibrant notes of blackberry, blackcurrant and a hint of mocha. Elegant and complex on the palate with supple tannins and a savoury finish.
