Brilliant colour, plus peony and violet aroma nuanced with liquorice make for a wine with a deep and intense attack and a persistent mouth-finish.
Aloxe-Corton has been the home of the Latour family and the heart of Domaine Louis Latour for centuries. This wine has an inviting, warm red colour which leads to an earthy, spicy, tannic palate which mellows beautifully with age.
This charming wine has ripe fruit aromas and its spicy nature was conferred by the 12 months spent in oak barrels. Somewhat vanilla, and also liquorice, this complex wine is round yet mellow.
Les Vignes Franches is one of the best Premier Cru vineyards of the town, producing a wine that is persuasively elegant and graceful with a fragrant floral nose and yet well capable of ageing to perfection for a considerable period of time.
A strong cherry colour with intense garnet reflections. On the nose this has fruity aromas of cherry, red currants and raspberry with hints of spices, mineral notes and licorice. To the palate this is powerfully structured with fresh black and red fruits.
On the nose the wine has aromas of red and black cherry fruits, with notes of liquorice and leather. In the mouth it is soft and rich with finely balanced tannins and good length.
Classic red Burgundy from the Cote de Nuits. The Louis Latour Gevrey-Chambertin is silky and soft with aromas of strawberries and spicy cherry fruit. As the wine gains in maturity, so aromas and flavours of leather, liquorice and game develop.
Ruby red in colour with raspberry and earthy aromas on the nose. In the mouth this Marsannay is fleshy and structured and the tannins are mellow but still present. This lasts nicely on the finish.
An intense, deeply coloured wine, showing pronounced, complex fruit of cherries, blackcurrants and violets, with truffles and spice. Subtle and integrated oak flavours on the palate with peppery notes, this wine is medium bodied, concentrated and admirably long on the finish.
This is a fine example of a Pinot Noir with plenty of soft ripe blackberry and raspberry fruit.
Domaine de Valmoissine is located on the site of the ancient monastery and university of Valmoissine at 500 metres above sea-level. This guarantees sunshine during the summer months whilst remaining cool at night and limits the possibility of spring frosts. The vineyard's southern exposure gives the raisins perfect maturity at the same time as the Grands Crus of Corton. The yield is small in order to ensure perfect maturity and concentration of the grapes, the factors that create the best quality wines. This results in an elegant wine with remarkable finesse.
Our Pinot Noir "Domaine de Valmoissine" is a fruity wine, it offers a soft and silky palate with soft tannins. It matches well with grilled red meat, cheese and red fruits.
