This Beronia Crianza shows an intense cherry colour. Attractive nose with red fruits and floral aromas in perfect harmony with mineral and cocoa notes. A balanced and sweet palate with the fruit standing out over a base of chocolate and coffee from the time spent in American oak.
In 2011, a large part of the harvest was vinified with complete grapes as the maturity and concentration of flavours within the grapes was so good. The wine was aged in big oak vat from Burgundy and Austria. The origin and age of each barrel is specifically chosen to enhance the characteristics of our different vines.
2011 was a great vintage in the south of France. The rainfall during the winter and spring was slightly higher than in the previous two years and has been particularly beneficial to the balance of the plant. A mild spring preceded a windy and dry summer, preserving a the crop perfectly. The grapes were hand picked using a small team of pickers. This allows us to stretch out picking dates and to maximize the opportunity of harvesting each variety at its best moment of maturity. There was strict selection in the vineyard and where it was felt to be necessary, individual buches of grapes were removed.
This wine is very expressive and "explosive", with a lot of red and black fruits, a nice spice, but without hardness. In bottles since the summer of 2013, it gives a lot of seduction, with much density as well as the softness whilst retaining this famous Mourvedre's character!
The quality of the fruit is superb, the wine is profound, round, with a deep colour. Flavour of graphite, strawberry compote, liquorish, lilacs.
Mature black and red fruit; plum, cherry and damson with some balsamic and eucalyptus notes. This wine has intensity and balance, soft, round tannins, and a long finish with hints of toast and liquorice. Rioja lovers will not be let down.

On the palate, the wine is velvety and round, with smooth tannins and good acidity from the Tempranillo. The finish is soft, balanced and long lasting.
Deep cherry-red colour. On the nose, aromas of red fruits blend with hints of spice. The wine is dry but with generous fruit giving a smooth, round texture and fresh acidity to ensure excellent balance. Awarded 94 points and a Highly Recommended status by Decanter (www.decanter.com) in their October 2016 edition review of Piedmont (see blue link below).
Deep ruby with a touch of garnet on the rim. This is classic Vajra, with lovely perfumes of dried rose petals, orange peel and violets. On the palate, there is plenty of fine grained, ripe, tannin in the characteristic Nebbiolo style, and lots of elegant, dark cherry fruit with savoury notes adding more depth. Long and perfumed on the finish.
