Rioja Blanco (Otoman), Sierra Cantabria 2016 (1x75cl)

Founded in 1957 by Guillermo Eguren, Sierra Cantabria is nestled in the heart of San Vicente de la Sonsierra, a town of great winemaking tradition, situated in a unique location between the River Ebro and the Sierra Cantabria mountain range. The Sierra Cantabria mountain range (1,200 m. of altitude) and the river Ebro (350 m.), create a special microclimate with Mediterranean and Continental characteristics - providing mild winters and gentle summers - unique for vine cultivation. On the other hand, the summer thermal jump (intense heat during the day with fresh night temperatures) creates an increase in the level of polyphenols, normally associated with excellent quality wines.

Grapes were 'cold-soaked' for 10 hours; the Sauvignon Blanc was fermented in French oak barrels (Vosges). The Viura and Malvasia were fermented in stainless steel. Fermented with autochthonous yeast selected from SC's own vineyards.

35% Viura, 16% Malvasia, 49% Sauvignon Blanc.

Otoman, referring to the silk trade in Turkey, is a fresh and expressive wine reflecting the identity of La Rioja’s Sonsierra region. Its crisp, silky and delicate with primary fresh citrus fruit, apricots and hints of vanilla.

ABV = 13.5%.

Vintae Heredad de Tejada White Rioja, Bodega Classica 2018 (1x75cl)

Heredad de Tejada is a collection of wines made in the heart of Rioja Alta. Its winemaking process combines tradition and innovation, using modern facilities to create wines while following a natural process. For example, this wine is made in large vats, imitating the traditional winemaking method in "lagos abiertos", where whole grapes are deposited in open vats and the carbonic maceration takes place.

The harvest takes place during the entire month of october. Picking of the fruit is conducted in 15 kg boxes, which are quickly transported to the winery; the clusters that do not meet optimum conditions are disregarded.

The wine is aged for 2 months in French oak barrels.

100% Viura.

This is a straw yellow colour wine. Ripe fruit, dates and banana notes stand out on the nose in combination with the nuances of a Crianza, making it an interesting and complex wine. On the palate, it is fresh and fleshy, leaving a long, balanced and pleasant aftertaste.

ABV = 12.5%.
