Established in 2010 Rock Town Distillery, located in downtown Little Rock, is the first legal distillery of any kind in Arkansas since prohibition. It is an artisan craft distillery that uses grains from Arkansas to distill award winning spirits. Rock Town is a true grain-to-glass distillery, their spirits are carefully distilled from corn, wheat and rye that are grown within a 125 miles of the distillery. Their passion is their spirit and their dedication is to their craft.
Hickory Smoked Whiskey is distilled from Arkansas Soft Red Winter Wheat – aged in ex-Bourbon casks – with a nice light smokey taste from real Hickory. Rock Town took American whiskey distilling techniques and melded it with Scotch whiskey ageing techniques to make something pretty special, Arkansas Hickory Smoked Whiskey. They cold smoke the wheat in a custom built hickory smoker at the distillery, prior to milling. This infuses smoke into the grain and the flavor of the hickory carries all the way through to the distillate. As with all Rock Town's whiskies, the Hickory Smoked Whiskey is made from grain to glass here at the distillery in Little Rock. This whiskey is made using 91% Arkansas Wheat and 9% Malted Barley. It is non-chill filtered.
