The Ronco delle Betulle wine–making tradition dates back to 1967, thanks to Giovanbattista Adami’s passion and genuine sentiment for his land. A leading wine producer from the Eastern hills of Friuli, Ronco delle Betulle spans approximately 17 hectares in the Rosazzo area. The vineyards and winery are now into the third generation of the Adami family, who have been able to hand down old values and attitudes while keeping up with the latest innovations in the modern wine production process.
"Our philosophy on winemaking reflects our belief that great wines are the result of a perfect combination of soil, microclimate, good vintages, passonate people and the respect for nature."
The grapes for this wine are harvested by hand and put carefully into trays They are then de-stemmed before undergoing cooling and maceration of the pressed grapes. Fermentation happens at the controlled temperature of 15°C anbd the wine spends 5 - 6 months on its lees. The wine is bottled at the end of March / beginning of April before being left to setlle in bottle for a minimum of six moths before being released for sale. This wine is subjected to a non-sterile filtration at the time of bottling.
A wine with good structure and acidity, it has an excellent, characteristic aroma reminiscent of sage, tomato leaves and bell peppers. Sauvignon grapes are harvested in stages at Ronco delle Betulle to obtain a full-bodied and perfectly aromatic wine. This pairs well with shrimp, lobster, shellfish, asparagus dishes, omelettes and soups with aromatic herbs.
