Founded in 1958, with more than three hundred members Terre del Barolo is a cooperative that represents all the eleven villages of the appellation. Their members (or family as they are often referred to as) are people who have managed to continue production at times when many were abandoning the land. They have been able to keep their roots firmly set in this extraordinary terroir, making it well-known throughout the world.
Produced with grapes grown on the Barbera vine in the prestigious Langhe area around Alba, this wine has a dry, warm and full bodied flavour. It reaches full balance following appropriate maturation, becoming soft and velvety. Ruby-red when young, tending to garnet-red on ageing, it has an intensely vinous, fruity nose.
