Charles spent a decade in Europe managing various bands you have never heard of (unless you misspent your youth in disused warehouses near the Copenhagen ring road) before seeing the light and heading to Washington State to plant vines.

This supple and mouth-filling vintage leads with juicy raspberry and ripe boysenberry fruit. Hints of spiced chocolate integrate well with fruit that is surprisingly luscious and silky on the palate, partnered with black pepper backbone that gives structure and weight. Flavours of toasted oak and pipe tobacco create further structure, allowing this wine to stand up to a variety of hearty fare.
The 2007 Cabernet Sauvignon is made in the Cafaro house style, with a deep colour, exuberant perfumes of blackcurrant with an attractive leafy character and a touch of vanilla from the oak ageing. On the palate it is rich, lush and concentrated, with plenty of ripe, dark berry fruit and excellent structure.
Opening with enticing red berry fruit, the aromas seamlessly blend with hints of cherry and forest floor. Delicate notes of anise and cola accompany the fruit. A rich palate of black cherry and strawberry is supported by medium fine-grained tannins. The finish lingers with subtle, toasty undertones and excellent balance.
A vibrant, red-purple in color with bright aromas of boysenberry, bing cherry, raspberry and banana. The fruit complexion on the palate is equally bright, dominated by boysenberry and raspberry. The luscious fruit and lingering acidity make this wine ideal as an aperitif.
